Timber Vale is a family-owned private caravan park, overlooking Lyme Regis on the Jurassic Coast of Dorset.
John, Sue, Tom, Sam & Kate would like to wish all owners, visitors and anyone viewing this site good health.
Whilst John might be isolating, Sam & Tom are working hard to maintain Timber Vale, so when the Government permits us to open, we will be ready to greet you.
Government guidance published in England on the 12th May states ‘There are no restrictions on how far you can travel to get to the countryside. However, you cannot visit and stay overnight at a holiday home or second home.’
Holiday parks are closed by law. Our entrance gates are closed, the toilet block is locked & the water and electricity are turned off.
The onus is on us the Park owner to obey the law and stay closed.
Regarding possible opening, indictions are that it will be the beginning of July. When we have a clearer idea of a specific date, we will say.
Please below various photographs of the Park taken over the recent weeks.
The Spittles, a short walk from the Park are home to thousands of Bluebells. The following photographs were taken on the evening of Sunday 26th April, our Cavachon “Hazel” managed to include herself in several of the pictures !
Timber Vale has been owned and run by the Eaton Family since March 1976.
The park has 153 caravans, 3 are hired out, the remaining 150 are all privately owned with no commercial letting.
Within a couple of years of owning Timber Vale, we realised that we did not want commercial letting of the caravans…
There are 3 double glazed centrally heated caravans available for hire.
Located close to park entrance, Roma & Timberline are set in their own garden, Pathfinder is in a semi enclosed garden. All the gardens have table and chairs.
A town full of charm, with a timeless quality. First visited by the Eaton family in July 1954, it has been our home for over 40 years.
The cobb, a sandy beach, the Marine Parade and fossils are just a few of the many attractions that entice visitors to our town.
“Just love this Caravan Park, grew up on it. It is kept very clean and tidy. There are no on site facilities as such, so it’s very quiet, but that adds to it’s charm. There is a park area for kids and a Tennis Court and a designated dog field. Fantastic views. Well worth a stay as there is plenty to do in and around the area. It is a perfect base.”Suzy Hodson
“My father has had a caravan here for many years, the site is kept clean and tidy.
I’d highly recommend buying a caravan here.”
“Very nice caravan site. Great views of the sea over Lyme Regis.
Kept very clean and tidy. And nice and quiet.”
