Lyme Regis A town full of charm, with a timeless quality. First visited by Eaton family in July 1954, it has been our home for the last 30 years. Whilst small in terms of population (around 4,500) it never ceases to amaze us the sheer number of people who have either heard of Lyme or have visited the town. Due to geological reasons, a massive investment programme to secure the long term stability of the town was recently finished. This work included thousands of tons of stones and sand being added to the beach area and the Gardens extensively redesigned and landscaped. If Lyme has a failing, it is one that is common in towns today, Car Parking ! Fortunately, there are several ways to walk into Lyme, and for the return journey, there are several local taxi firms or use the bus which conveniently stops outside the park entrance. |
